Minutes after I rolled out of the rack this morning, I got the call to go out filming. Had to turn up with my first mug of coffee and drink it on the way back to the gear. It was a glorious morning, sun just up and shining brightly. The seas were calm, with a gentle, long-period swell and no chop. Copped a smoke, drank coffee on the leisurely ride back to the gear, where we filmed, underwater, for about an hour. I played the part of producer and tried my best to keep the director in line, but he spent the better part of an hour giving the cameraman and key grip a ton of shit. Freaking directors. Still, all in all it was a great trip, an escape from the ship and work and everything. Good times.
